Enjoy working with animals? Well, Animal Welfare is opening a program where children up to the age of 18 can care for animals within the OKC area. People who want to sign up for the program can email [email protected] for information. Visit the KOCO website for more details.
Do you enjoy going to the Zoo? There are volunteer opportunities there as well. For specific questions or details, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (405)425-2075 or [email protected]. Visit the OKC Zoo website for more details.

There are also other opportunities similar to the Regional Food Bank that needs volunteers. You can volunteer at the Hope Center of Edmond by helping with stocking and sorting groceries, processing orders, sorting clothing and household items, greeting clients and more. Children 10 years of age and older can volunteer and Children under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information go to the Hope Center of Edmond website.
Also, at the YWCA, there are volunteer opportunities where you can wrap gifts to give to the homeless women due to domestic violence. It would be a great way to get involved within the community. Interested? Call 405-948-1770 or visit the YWCA website for more information.
Want to help disabled kids regain strength through therapeutic horse riding? Visit the Coffee Creek website for more information!
You can also volunteer at The Salvation Army of Central America’s Food Pantry. Volunteers are needed to help unload and sort food items as well as fill grocery orders for families on a weekly basis. Visit the Salvation Army site to get started!
