Starting off strong to celebrate Black History Month, the Black Student Union will start the door decorating contest January 23 and it will end February 13.  

The peak of the month is the Celebration Week, February 20-24. This will be a full week of dress out days for $2 a day or $4 for the whole week, as well as activities for everyone to enjoy. Here is the schedule: 

Tuesday: 

Black Sitcom/Movie Dress Out followed by Hip Hop Awards 

BET Style without drama 

Students are encouraged to dress up

Funny Awards 

Wednesday: 

Sunday’s Best Dress, with soul food plates for sale 3:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. $7 for a plate and $3 for desserts.

Thursday: 

HBCU/PBI Dress Out, and the Black History Month Assembly 

Friday: 

Color Wars Dress Out: 

Freshmen- Yellow 

Sophomores- Green  

Juniors- Brown  

Seniors- Red
