The spring sports season is starting. Here is everything you should know about Hcp sports. 

Tennis is coached by Tom Kindinger. 

The players are Evelyn Stirling Owen Clark, Ian Ward, Andreas Markey, Andrew Onema, Owen Marler, Hurtis Deveroux, Brody Kirkpatrick, Daniel Ramos, Regina Ramos, Emma Schrader, Jayla Harris, Layla Oubre, Yasmine Minor, Amaya Hunt, Anitra Ngo, and Lily Boevers. 

“This season is starting off rough, but I think the team will pull through and make a comeback,” Stirling said. 

Softball is coached by Kristen Buckallew and Kamryn Downs. The team managers are Miranda Rodriguez and Peter Onema. 

The players are Autumn Harris, Sabrina Alvi, Noel Mercer, Angela Reid, Yakierra Minor, Makhya Marshall, Piper Davis, Evelin Mendez, Nishylla Mahoul, Alaisha Menser, Kiara Jackson, Dayanne Garcia, Tiziana Mongu, Ulyssa Mata-Ponce, Rachel Carr, Natalie Soriano and Josie Munnerlyn. 

“This season looks promising,” Buckallew said. “The growth of these girls in just over a few weeks in incredible. They are a great group of players!” 

Soccer is coached by Cory Pocock and Kevin Suarez. The managers are Emma Hernandez, Achiriya Nash and Jasmine Ramirez 

The players are Heath Munnerlyn, Andreas Markey, Caleb Resendiz, Evan Castellanos-Bui, Eduardo Rojas, DJ Hillmon, Hector Zamarron, Santiago Pantoja, Israel Ibanez, Lennin Ayala, Jake Martinez, Danny Deleon, Julio Ponce, Johnny Escobar, Julian Melton, Miguel Dominguez, David Rojas, Josue Rivas, Roman Cordova, Justin Martinez, Yaneris Paz, Leoncia Mongu, Yamileth Ponce, Jocelyn Ramirez, Rhea Werlinger, Eva Ituarte, Dahlia Hernandez, Laken Leforce, Rakayla Coulter, Ren Matlack, Isabel Tavarez, Bianca Dean, GiGi Cioffi, Ashlee de Loera, Camryn Hobson-Ward, Cynthia Delgado-Ramirez and Adriana Hernandez. 

 “I think if we put in a lot of effort, we can make it to playoffs this year,” said Ponce. 

Baseball is coached by Richard Duncan and Josh Sisson. The managers are Kelsey Warma and Cecilia Herrera. 

The players are Tillman Redwine, Sean Carr, Donovan Leonard, Parker Wehrenberg, Dalon Harris, John Vazquez, Kiron Forbes, Sebastian Gallegos, Matin Mazroee, Zachary Sisson, Hunter Griswold, Holdan Redwine, Hamza Khan, Logan Preble, Christian Sheldon, Quincy Robinson, Xavier Sarkey, Braydon Colvin, Justin Knight, Moein Mazroee, Josiah Harbin, Jack Kinney, Harrison Hans, and Da-Malachi Greek. 

“We’ve won a couple of games, we’ve lost a couple, but we’re hoping for a good season ahead of us,” said team manager Warma. “We’re hoping to win as many games as we can.” 

Track is coached by Mark Busick and Doug Ozment.  

The players are Shakira Russell, Jazmyn Nelson, Amani Gaines, Ajayla Jackson, Adrianna Hill, Jada Reeves, Cortnie Morgan, Carmelia Burkus, Kamryn Todd, Rachel Carr, Alisha Leroy, Solange Coly, Mason Ozaydin, Elijah Alsup, Shylen Bills, Adrian Colbert, AJ Covey, Nolawi Dawit, Josiah Deveroux, Keven Espinosa, Josh Gaston, Jace Harris, Jace Kelley, Zamar Minter, Terry Nguyen, Michael Peter, Gabriel Peter, Miquel Ramires-Neal, Isaiah Reed and Raimi Shadik. 

Our sprinters are doing very well, and we have gained lots of fast runners,” Espinosa said. “We lost some runners, but I think the team will do alright.” 

Cheer tryouts are March 25 at 9pm. Clinics to prepare are on March 21 and 23 at 6pm. 

Volleyball open gym is every Wednesday starting on March 22 to April 26.
