This years HCP 2024 musical has been announced as “The Addams Family.”
“[I] think the musical is going to go well this year,” said choir director Dr. Jennifer Gillis. “We had a lot of interested students who have signed up.”
“The Addams Family” is about a girl named Wednesday who develops a relationship with a boy whom her father has never met. This musical displays love and friendship, through comedy and thrill.
“Gomez is a very funny character, but he is also important to the storyline,” said senior Andrew Onema, who is auditioning for the role of Gomez Addams.
The play will be held on February 23 and 24, 2024. The times will be shared closer to opening night.
Auditions will be held September 7 and 8, 2023 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the drama room.
If a student is interested in auditions but cannot make it during these dates or times, please contact Gillis or drama teacher Sierra Paul through email.
For those who cannot make it to this time, there will be another set of auditions on Monday, September 11, 2023.
Onema said his choice to audition goes beyond the script.
“[I] really want to be in the play because it’s my senior year and my last time to do this with my friends.”
