The National Honors Society is hosting the Fall Market in collaboration with the plant sale on Oct. 14-15. The market on Oct. 14 is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market will be next to the Greenhouse. If you want to rent a booth to sell your items, it’s $20 to rent a booth for two days and $15 for just one day. There will be a variety of items being sold.
“We are going to have lots of baked goods, jewelry, lotion bars, decals, stickers, crocheted items, plants, woodcrafts, henna, face paint, hair tinsel, coffee, cookies, pumpkin bread, fresh eggs and more,” said NHS President Ava Edwards.
Leslie Piccolo, the HCP Gardens Curator, will be selling the plants. The plant sale is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 14 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct.15. Piccolo will be selling pansies and violas this year in the greenhouse. The students in the Horticulture program help Piccolo in the Greenhouse. Piccolo is selling 18 count flats for $25 each. If you are interested in buying flowers they accept cash, checks, and will use Square for card payments. The money made from the plant sale will be used to keep the Horticulture program up and running.
