The National Honors Society is hosting their annual Spring Market with the plant sale on April 6 and April 7. The market on April 6 is from 8am to 3pm and on April 7 from 9am to 1pm. The Spring Market will be next to the Greenhouse. If the weather is bad, they will move it to the hallway. If students, parents and other community members are interested in renting booths, they’re $15 to rent for one day of the market and $20 for two days of the market.
“Students are encouraged to sign up because we want to give them an opportunity to promote their small business if they have never done an in-person sale before,” said NHS President Ava Edwards.
The plant sale will be held in the HCP Greenhouse by Leslie Piccolo, the HCP Gardens Curator. The sale will be going on during the Spring Market. Plants are sold in 18 count flats of small squares are $25, 15 count flats of 4” rounds are $65, single 4” rounds are $5, single squares are $3, hanging baskets are $25, potted combo planters are $30. If you are interested in buying plants they accept cash, checks, or cards. The money made will go back into the horticulture program.
“We will be selling a variety of annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, potted combo planters, house plants, herbs and organic vegetables”, said Piccolo.
