While Oklahoma is experiencing cold temperatures and snow, California has been experiencing wildfires.
Over four wildfires have been recorded in the state, the Palisade fire in Los Angeles County being the most notable.
New fires are spotted every day.
According to the Los Angeles Times the Palisade fire started Jan. 7 and has burned around 23,500 acres. The strong winds and dry climates helped the fire spread.
Residents are under mandatory evacuation and surrounding areas are in evacuation warning.
The Eaton Fire has also been burning in Los Angeles County. So far 14,000 acres have been burned. This fire has put the surrounding area on evacuation warning and mandatory evacuation.
Both fires are being contained little by little every day.
The Clay Fire started on Jan. 21. It has burned about 38 acres of Riverside County so far. It is currently being contained.
The Hughes fire was spotted burning in Las Angeles County on Jan. 22. It is also burning in Ventura County. It has burned over 3,400 acres. The area is currently under mandatory evacuation and evacuation warning.
All the fires are currently under investigation, but no cause has yet been determined.
