For the first time, the girls tennis team went to Ada Tennis Center and competed in qualifiers to see if they would make it to make it to regionals.

Competing against the number one team in 4A [Ada], Senior Alina Pham was scared about how the matches would go.

“I was scared because Ada is the number one team in 4A and Byng is one of the top teams as well, but I knew we would beat Purcell so we would get in,” Pham said.

The girls team had to place in the top four to advance to Regionals.  The people who qualified for Regionals included: Carolyn Eakers-Jarrett, Le Nguyen, Tiffany Huyen Vu, Violet Parrott and Alina Pham.

Regionals were May 1 at the OKC Tennis Center.
