This past Monday Ohio State University defeated Notre Dame University in the 2025 College Football National Championship, 32-23.
OSU’s Will Howard had a strong game with an 81 percent throwing rate and 231 yards thrown on the day missing only four throws in the process. Quarterback Riley Leonard had a decent game leading Notre Dame offense with 255 yards thrown and a throwing rate of 71 percent.
Notre Dame has won a total of 11 college football championships.
While having a good year and making it to the championship Notre Dame came up short in adding 12 CFB championships to their trophy case. Led by coach Marcus Freeman Notre Dame seems to be in good hands for the years to come. What else is in store for the Fighting Irish?
The last time OSU won a national championship was in 2014, when they were led by coach Urban Meyer and soon-to-be NFL quarterback Marcus Mariota. Ohio State seems to always be on top in college football, consistently ranked highly in the polls. Will their reign continue on?
