The Oklahoma City Thunder have reached the midway point of the 2024-2025 NBA Season, and they are on fire.
They currently have a 36-8 record, are ranked first in the west, and statistically have the best defense in the league.
They are led by MVP front runner Shai Gilgeous Alexander, who is currently leading the league in scoring and second in steals per game.
Their most recent loss was to the Dallas Mavericks on Jan. 17. Alexander was out with a wrist sprain, and Isaiah Hartenstein was ruled out for one week with a calf injury. Star Center Chet Holmgren, who had a hip injury earlier in the season, has been ruled to be re-evaluated in 3-5 weeks.
Despite all the injuries, they have been nothing short of great. They have broken many franchise records, including a 15-game winning streak.
Coach Mark Daigneault has been chosen to coach at the All-Star Weekend in San Francisco on Feb. 14-16.
The Thunder recently took a tough defeat to the Dallas Mavericks, 121-115, behind Jalen Williams, 33pts, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 31 pts, performances.
They look to finish strong during this stretch of games leading up to the All-Star Break.
