The NFL Playoffs kicked off Saturday, January 11.
The first game of the wild cards was the Houston Texans versus the Los Angels Chargers.
Heading into the game, the Chargers were a fan favorite after a tremendous season thanks to their quarterback, Justin Herbert.
Going into the playoffs, Herbert had 3,870 passing yards and 23 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions. Come game time he crumbled, throwing only one touchdown with four Interceptions; more than he had all year long in their 12-32 loss to the Texans.
The second game was the Ravens against Steelers match up. This was a tough game, but ultimately 2-time MVP Quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Ravens came out on top 28-14. Running back Derrick Henry had an insane 186 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.
Bills versus Broncos ended with a domination-31-7.
The highly anticipated match up, Packers versus Eagles, was electric.
The game started off with a forced fumble which the Eagles converted to 7 to get ahead. The game unfortunately had many injuries. Romeo Doubs Wide Receiver, Packer’s, concussion; Jayden Reed Wide Receiver, Packer’s, Shoulder; Nakobe Dean Linebacker, Eagles, knee.
This also showed that Jordan Love isn’t who we thought he was, throwing zero touchdowns and three interceptions.
The final score was 22-10 Eagles.
Commanders vs Buccaneers revealed a lot of future potential in both quarterback Jayden Daniels and running back Bucky Irving. The matchup was close and ended with a game winning field goal in favor of the Commanders.
The next matchup was the Rams vs Vikings which was difficult. There were nine total sacks on the Vikings in that game and fans watched as Sam Darnold crumbled under pressure. Ultimately, this led to a Rams victory 27-9.
This past week fans saw a Lions vs Commander’s matchup which ended in an upset with Rookie Jayden Daniels carrying his team to a 45-31 victory over the number one seed Lions.
The game between the Texans and Chiefs was a victory for the Chiefs although there were a few questionable calls. The final score was 14-23.
The other two games were a disaster. One In Philadelphia, the other in Buffalo, the Eagles played the Rams in the blizzard of a football game.
It was a game that was very influenced by the weather and the Eagles all pro running back was still able to get 205 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, ending with a 28-22 win.
The Buffalo game was a neck and neck game the whole time. The Ravens Lamar Jackson is notorious for failing to produce in the playoffs and he has done it once again with two turnovers.
That wasn’t the final nail in the coffin. Mark Andrews the Ravens TE who dropped the ball on the one-yard line at a two-point attempt, forcing them to lose 27-25 and be eliminated from the playoffs once more.
