The NFL preseason has officially wrapped up and The Denver Broncos are already in midseason form.
The Broncos finished off their final preseason game with a score of 28-19, against the New Orleans Saints. Overall, the Broncos ended their preseason with a record of 3-0 after defeating the Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals.
The Broncos blew out the 49ers with a score of 30-9 and dominated the Cardinals 27-7. When asked about their 3-0 preseason in an interview, Denver Broncos Head Coach, Sean Payton, said “We want to win in everything we do.”
During the offseason, in an interview for NFL.com during spring camp, Sean Payton has been very confident in this team. He stated, “I’ve coached six teams that I thought could win the Super Bowl. Some went to championship games, some to the playoffs. This is my seventh team that I think has that.”
Broncos’ fans have been long overdue for some success. They finally found a spark last season when they made the playoffs with a 10-7 record, ending their eight-year drought.
The Broncos made exciting moves this offseason, picking up the All-Pro safety Talonoa Hufanga and linebacker Dre Greenlaw, both from the 49ers. Denver also added tight end Evan Engram. Sean Payton has stated that he wanted a” joker” on offense, and he believes that Engram can be that guy.
With all the upgrades and bright signs this team is seeing, there is only one question left to answer: Are the Broncos going to finally make their return to glory, or will the fans be filled with false hope, once again.
