In an attempt to increase school spirit and participation at events, the Student Council has introduced the Clash of Classes, is a point battle between each grade and faculty. It is a new, nearly year-long event where every class and member of faculty compete for points by attending events going on around the school.
The Clash will last until Eagle Week, and the prize is a free dress week after spring break and an ice cream party provided by STUCO.
As of right now, these are ways you can earn points:
- Going to a HOME volleyball game- 20 points per person
- Going to an AWAY volleyball game- 40 points per person
- A RIVAL volleyball game (Millwood and Fine arts)- 50 points per person
- Swim- 100 points per person
- Cross country- 50 points per person
- Softball/Baseball- 50 points per person
- Soccer- 30 points per person
- Tennis- 50 points per person
- Basketball- 20 points per person
- Senior night for any grade gets all their points and the winning grade gets at least 100 points
- Going to Sing Easy
- Buying a yearbook
- Halloween Week- by STUCO
- Going to any school music performance
You can also get points for dressing out and going to events for Hispanic Heritage Week, leaving a comment on Marionette articles, and much more!
As of Sept. 24, here is the leaderboard:
- 1st place- Seniors with 680 points
- 2nd place- Freshman with 600 points
- 3rd place- Juniors with 260 points
- 4th place- Faculty with 150 points
- Last- Sophomores with 100 points
