The annual Haunted Maze and Trunk-or-Treat is coming back Oct 25. Student Council is hosting the Haunted Maze and Black Student Union (BSU) is hosting the Trunk or Treat.
The haunted maze will start at 7p.m and end at 9p.m. This year’s theme for the haunted maze is Circus of the Dead. The haunted maze will take place on the cross-country trail with an entrance fee being $7. Students were encouraged to sign up to be actors for the maze, but all the acting positions are filled for this year’s maze. The form was on the Student Council Instagram and there was a spreadsheet link on the announcement page on teams. The actors have to provide their own costumes and there are rules for the actors’ safety.
According to Student Council President Noel Mercer, the rules are:
- No flashlights
- No touching the actors or props
- Stay on the path/trail
- No running
- Dress accordingly
- Closed toe shoes suggested
- Be respectful
- Do not leave the designated event area
- [STUCO] is not responsible for lost items
- No filming actors
For more info contact Mercer, Travis Rhodes, or Gage Gutz.
Trunk or treat will start at 5p.m and will end at 7 p.m. It will be held in the teacher parking lot and admission will be $2 per trick or treater.
“Students can bring their siblings, cousins, or anyone who is interested,” said BSU President Natalie Thompson.
BSU is advertising to other schools so their students can come to the event. BSU members will be the ones handing out the candy. If students want to volunteer to hand out candy, they need to contact BSU President Natalie Thompson or BSU sponsor Jennifer Gillis.
