The annual Singeasy is coming back! Auditions will take place Sept. 5 at 3:20p.m. in the auditorium. Fine Arts Director Kelli Taylor got the idea from the prohibition era. Taylor and Choir Director Jennifer Gillis will be judging.
“I really liked working with Gillis, so I pitched it to her,” said Taylor. (Finish quote!)
Students may sing, play an instrument, play piano, garage band, and have small musical performances. If students can’t make it to auditions, students are able to send in recorded auditions to Taylor and Gillis through a chat in Microsoft Teams.
The performance will be Oct. 11 at 7p.m. in the cafeteria. General admission will be sold to students that want to go to support their friends and peers for $5 at the entrance. There will also be VIP tickets for $10 and those tickets will be for the families of the performers and staff.
If you have any questions or want more information about the Singeasy please contact Taylor and Gillis through teams or visit them before or after school in their classrooms. Taylor’s room is Annex-1 and Gillis’s room is C110.
