Choir students auditioned recently for the Central Oklahoma Choral Director’s Association honor choir, or COCDA, at Edmond Memorial High School.
Sophomore Oliver Etherington along with seniors Andrew Onema and Ian Walker were all chosen to participate in the COCDA High School Honor Choir, which met for a clinic and concert on Thursday, Nov. 2 at Edmond Memorial.
“I am very excited to make friends and I am also surprised that I made it,” Etherington said.
Choir director Dr. Jennifer Gillis helped the students prepare for their auditions.
“It will be hard to make it if you procrastinate, but if you practice you will do fine,” she said.
The auditioners will perform “Tarantella” by Abentlied, “Swans, and “Dixit Dominoes” by George Frideric Handel.
