Thank You Notes

Thank you to Katherine Ferguson for being an amazing English teacher and for always working hard. Mrs. Ferguson was named Southwest Region AP Teacher of the Year on February 27 in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Stephen Prilliman, Associate Professor and Department Chair of Chemistry at Oklahoma City University and a founder of Harding Charter Prep, nominated Ferguson for this award.

He described Ferguson as being an “outstanding teacher who is devoted to the success of her students.”

“She has the kind of focused dedication that all great AP teachers have and as a result her students have done exceptionally well on the AP exam,” Dr. Prilliman said.

Thank you to Kristena Rudloff for driving all the way from Stillwater to Harding. She wakes up at 5 a.m. and travels at least 75 minutes everyday just to open the library.

Thank you to Ephrain, our janitor, for keeping the school clean and for coming to school early to shovel the mounds of snow and salting our side walks. Your cheerfulness and hard work is greatly appreciated.

Thank you Kyle Malzhan for always keeping the class engaged with your interesting analogies.

Thank you to Jeff Wolford for your dry humor while teaching math. I know I can always leave your class with impeccable advice.

Thank you Coach Busick for dedicating so much time and effort into the cross country and track teams. Having previously been named the most involved parent by the school, Buisick continues to contribute selflessly. We all are blessed to have him. He donated new cross country uniforms and bought the soccer team new water bottles.

“He has changed the atmosphere. I think everyone in the sport has seen his passion for it and it inspires those athletes,” said cross country coach Steven Stefanick.

Track Coach Joe Hughes, said Buisick’s work goes beyond the track room. He occasionally helps around the school, cleaning up or mowing the lawn. Hughes described him as being a valuable asset to both the team and the school.

“Right now he’s in a situation where he comes on his lunch break just to coach. That just shows a lot of character, a sense that he is here for the students,” Hughes said.
