Both the girls and boys soccer teams have had a great start to their season.

The girls are 1-2 so far, but they are playing well.

“The girls are competing and doing really well,” said Athletic director Mylo Miller.

Senior Jenna Hartman is pleased with how the girls are playing.

“At the OCS game, we lost, but I feel like we really played to our highest standards and tried our best,” Hartman said. “We worked together as a team and did not give up.”

Senior Maria Jaime is also happy with how the girls are performing, but thinks that there is room for improvement.

“We need more communication and we need to play well with each other,” Jaime said.

They boys are doing also doing very well with a season of 6-1 so far.

Senior Victor Franco is very happy with how the boys are performing as a team.

“This is the best season that we have had so far, but the hardest games that we have are at the end of the season and those are the ones that matter,” Franco said. “We have really good chemistry this year and we are more like a family because we are closer than we ever have been.”

Miller is also very pleased with how the boys are performing.

“Well, the boys are undefeated and are starting out really well,” Miller said.

With all of the boy’s success Franco is anxious for the team to keep getting better on and off the field.

“We need more communication on and off the field,” Franco said, “We also need to be more serious when we need to be serious because we goof around a lot.”

The girls and boys soccer teams have their next game April 10 against McLoud.
