It’s almost time for the annual blood drive hosted by the Student Council. Any eligible students are strongly encouraged to attend. Requirements are as follows:
• Students must be 17 or older; 16 with parental approval.
• Students must weigh at least 110 pounds if 18 or older, or 125 if 16 or 17.
• Students must provide photo ID.
• It’s recommended to eat a good meal beforehand as well as getting a good night of sleep.
Giving blood is an important and easy way to help improve the lives of others. Lives can be saved by this one simple act, and if that’s not enough for, donors get a free T-shirt and a ticket to the zoo. Students can also enroll in a program to earn special graduation cords for their donations.
The blood drive will be happening on Tuesday, Sept. 19. If students want more information, they can talk to any member of STUCO. Forms are available in the library.
